First Practical - Plaits

                                                      3 Strand Plait
Start by separating the ponytail into 3 equal strands then hold 2 strands in your right hand with your palm facing up. Then holding the third strand in your left hand turn your right hand over so your palm is now facing down. This makes the right strand now in the middle and the middle strand on the right then switch hands and hold the right strand in the right hand and the middle strand and left strands in the left hand your palm facing up. Turn your left hand until your palm is facing down and repeat this until you have no more hair to plait. Having already knew how to plait I didn't really find it difficult as its quite a simple technique anyway. However if I was to work in this I would work on making is more loose as I naturally create a very tight plait.

French Plait
Section off the hair that wont be used in the hair style and secure with one of the clips from the kit. Grab a small section of hair at the front of the head and start a normal plait but only plait it 3 times then add in bits of hair from either side to the middle and repeat this process until you get to the end of the hair. With this hairstyle as I already knew how to create a french plait I faced no issues with creating it and felt that my attempt of it was succesful as it was tight and wasn't too thick.

Fishtail Plait
Again undo the hairstyle recently created and brush through the hair to ensure no there are no knots. Then create two sections of hair to start the braid. Grab a very thin section from the back of one of the sections or hair and bring it to the opposite side to create the braid and repeat this process until the fishtail braid starts to come together. Ensure that the braid isn’t too tight. With this plait I was also already experience in creating it however I was used to creating tight fishtail plaits whereas out tutor wanted us to create a loose but detailed plait.
